EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT DEFENSE COUNCIL
The purpose of the Council is to assist the local Emergency Management Coordinator in the preparation of the Municipal Emergency Operations Plan and in other areas as determined by the Coordinator as necessary. The members appointed for the year 2023 are as follows:

EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT UPDATE
The Emergency Management Team together with the Office of Emergency Management Coordinator, Chris Lopanik and the Township Committee continue to prepare for future emergency/disaster events.
Generators - Generators have been installed at the Municipal Building and the Road Department.
Community Emergency Outreach – Previous updates indicated that there were two areas in need of improvement:
Communication – The Township has contracted with Rave Mobile Safety providing the Green Township Community Messaging System. The system will be used to call, text, and email during times of emergency. In order to be included you MUST register! Simply find the icon for Community Messaging System on the Home page and follow the link!
Manpower – The Township continues to seek volunteers for its Community Emergency Response Team (CERT). If you are a resident of Green Township and are 18 years or older and are interested in providing disaster/emergency support to your neighbors and community.
