Voting in Green Township

You may register to vote in public elections if:

  1. You will be 18 years of age or older at the time of the next election
  2. You are a United States citizen
  3. You have been a resident of the State of New Jersey and Sussex County at least 30 days prior to the election

You may register by mail. Voter registration forms can be obtained at the Municipal Clerk's Office, Public Libraries, NJ National Guard recruitment offices, Division of Unemployment, Commissioner of Registration, County Board of Elections, and any office where State licenses or permits are obtained.

If you move within Sussex County, a Change of Address form must be filed with the County Board of Elections at least 29 days prior to the election. If you move within Sussex County within 29 days of an election, you may vote by means of a Failsafe Ballot obtained from the Municipal Clerk. If you move to Sussex County from another County, you must re-register.

POLLING PLACES

DISTRICT 1 District 1 votes at the Green Township Municipal Building, 150 Kennedy Road, Tranquility.

DISTRICT 2 District 2 votes at the Green Township Fire Department, 243 Kennedy Road, Greendell.

If you will be out of state on election day, you may obtain an Absentee Ballot from the County Clerk.
