SOCCER: Soccer is open to children
Pre-K (age 4 by October 1) through 8th grade. It is held twice a year, spring
and fall. Pre-K thru grade 2 play among Green Township teams, grades 3 and up
travel to compete with other towns' recreation leagues.
Games are played at EverGreen Park. The director is Phil Stevens. The fee is $35
for an individual player, $50 for a family registration. Spring Registration forms
are available now and the deadline for Spring soccer registration is 3/7/08 for mail-in/drop-off
registration.

GIRL'S SOFTBALL: Girl's softball
is open to girls in grades K through 12. Director - Judy Brewster. The fee is
$45 per player. Registration forms are available now. Deadline is March 3, 2008.

LITTLE LEAGUE: Green Township does not offer a recreational little league program. Residents are invited to participate under the Lackawanna Little League Program, which includes T-Ball (5-6 years), Rookies (7-8 years), Minors/Majors (9-12 years), Seniors (13-14 years), and Big League (15-16 years). FOOTBALL/CHEERLEADING: Green Township does not offer a recreational Football or Cheerleading program. Residents are invited to contact either the Newton Junior Athletic League (NJAL.org).
TALENT SHOW: The Green Township talent
show is open to all residents. The Children's division is for ages 9 and below;
the Junior Division is for ages 10 to 15; and the Adult Division is for ages
16 and up. The contest is held at Green Township Day, June 28th, and first place winners
are eligible to compete at the Sussex County Farm and Horse Show. Applications must be filed
by June 21, 2008.

MISS GREEN TOWNSHIP PAGEANT: The Miss
Green Township Pageant is open to girls ages 17-22 who are residents of Green
Township. Scholarship prize money is awarded to competitors, who will win a
chance to compete at the Sussex County Farm and Horse show for the title of
"Queen of the Fair". The Miss Green Contest will be held on Saturday, June 28th,
Green Township Day, at 1:00 pm. Please join us. Applications must be received by June 21st.

BASKETBALL: Basketball is open to
boys and girls in grades 3 through 8. Games are played during the winter. Registration for the
2007-2008 season will begin early October.

MEN'S BASKETBALL: Men's basketball is played at the Green Hills School on Monday and Thursday evenings, from 8:00 - 9:30 pm. during the winter and spring. Director - George Quentz
VOLLEYBALL: Volleyball for adults is played at the Green Hills School on Friday evenings, from 8:00 pm -10:00 pm, throughout the school year. Director - Heidi Conkling
SUMMER RECREATION PROGRAM is open
to grades K-4 and is held for 3 weeks beginning Monday, July 14th to Friday, August 1st at the
Green Hills School on Mackerley Road from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm. The fee is $90.00 per child. See
attached form for sign-ups. Registration deadline is June 13, 2008.

GREEN TOWNSHIP DAY: Green Township Day is a special celebration with fun, food, games and prizes. Volunteers are always needed. Join us on Saturday, June 28th, at EverGreen Park, from 11am to 3:00 pm. The Miss Green Contest will be held at 1:00 pm and the Talent Show will be held at 2:00 pm.
BUS TRIP TO NYC: The Township Bus Trip to NYC is a day to plan your own activities in the Big Apple without the aggravation of driving and parking. A bus leaves Town Hall at 8 am, and brings you back at the end of the day.
HOLIDAY TREE LIGHTING: Join the Annual Tree Lighting Celebration, at EverGreen Park on Wednesday, December 6th, at 6:00 pm, (raindate Thursday, December 7th at 6:00 pm) to sing some holiday songs and enjoy cookies and hot cocoa with your neighbors while the kids visit with Santa.
HOLIDAY HOME DECORATING CONTEST: The Holiday Home Decorating Contest is your opportunity to show your outdoor decorating skills - all you do is register your name and address by calling the Town Hall at 908-852-9333. You may also nominate one of your neighbors. Judging will take place on Wednesday evening, December 12th between 7-8 pm by the Recreation Committee Members. Prizes are awarded to the top 3 homes, Green Residents only. Congratulations to our 2007 selections in this year's contest: (1) 14 Mountain View Drive; (2) 83 Forest Road; (3) 10 Spring Hunter Court.
HO HO HOTLINE: Santa will call your child on December 11th or 12th to wish them a happy holiday and find out who's been "Naughty or Nice." A form is available in November to assist Santa in talking to your child.
COMMUNITY YARD SALE: In April and October a Community Yard Sale is held where residents wishing to participate have their home yard sale placed on our map for $5.00. The maps usually average 35-40 homes and are available at the Municipal Building four days before the event. Advertising is also provided on the community channel through SECTV and in the New Jersey Herald. Registration deadline is Monday, April 21st. This year our Spring Yard Sale will be held on April 26th.
Spring Yard Sale Registration Form 2008EASTER EGG HUNT: The Easter Egg hunt will be on Sunday, March 16, 2008 at 2:00 pm, rain or shine at EverGreen Park.
Easter Egg Hunt Form 2008 ROAD RACE: A 5K Road Race will be
held on Sunday, October 28th, 2007, 9:30 am, originating at the Green Hills School. A map of the
course is available from the recreation department. To enter the contest, please fill out
the attached form with $6.00 before October 25th and $8.00 on the day of the race and
return to the Municipal Building with fee by the deadline.

WATER PARK: Held at Camel Beach on July 25th. Residents are invited to enjoy a fun filled day of water tubing. The fee is $19.95 per person.
SNOW TUBING: The Snow Tubing trip is cancelled for this year.
HALLOWEEN PARADE: A kids Halloween Parade will be held for all ages on Saturday, October 27th, 2007, starting at 3:00 pm at Evergreen Park.
