2010 COMMITTEES & BOARDS
TOWNSHIP COMMITTEE
The Township Committee meets on the second and fourth Monday of each month at 8:00pm. The Township has only one meeting a month during the months of June, July, & August. Township Committee Minutes and Agendas will remain on the web site for three months and be replaced after the third month. Minutes are approved at following meetings - see the agendas.

The Township Committee has introduced ordinances and scheduled them for public hearing. Please check the Township Committee agendas for any changes.

Green Township adopted a Stormwater Ordinance in 2006. The Ordinance is attached. For more information on stormwater, you can also visit "www.cleanwaternj.org"

Green Township adopted a new Zoning Map and Schedule of Limitations (zone chart) in 2009 in compliance with the master plan amendment. The map and chart are attached.

Green Township adopted an Open Space and Recreation Master Plan Update, compiled by the Land Conservancy of New Jersey with the Open Space Committee of the Township of Green, dated May 2009. You can view this plan.

The Township has received the new preliminary Sussex County Flood Hazard Maps from FEMA. There is a 90 day review period which began June 30, 2010 and ends September 27, 2010. You can either come in to review the maps in the office of the Planning Board or you can go to the websites in the attachment below to determine if your property is in the flood plain and you can view the preliminary maps. The new maps are based on GIS mapping and the attachment contains the appeal process, etc. The directions on how to read the maps are also on our website. It is up to each property owner to review his own information and report to FEMA.

ZONING BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT
The Zoning Board of Adjustment meets on the first Thursday
of each month at 7:30pm. Zoning Board of Adjustment Minutes and Agendas will remain
on the web site for three months and be replaced after the third month. The minutes are approved by the Board at the regular meeting and are not official until that meeting.
The Zoning Board meeting scheduled for May 5, 2011 has been cancelled. The next regular meeting of the Zoning Board will be on June 2, 2011.

BOARD OF HEALTH
The Board of Health meets on an as needed schedule.

ENVIRONMENTAL ADVISORY COMMITTEE
The Environmental Advisory Committee provides advice and recommendations to the
Planning Board on environmental impacts of land use in the municipality in an
effort to ensure that planning reflects consideration of natural resources and
quality of life. Groundwater preservation is the current focus of activity.
The Environmental Advisory Committee meets on the fourth Tuesday of

RECREATION ADVISORY COMMITTEE
The Recreation Advisory Committee develops and administers Township recreational programs and activities for all residents. The Recreation Advisory Committee meets on the third Tuesday of each month at 7:30 pm. Meetings are subject to change - contact the Municipal Building. Members are needed and welcome.

EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT DEFENSE COUNCIL
The purpose of the council is to assist the local Emergency Management Coordinator in the preparation of the Municipal Emergency Operations Plan and in other areas as determined by the Coordinator as necessary. The members appointed for the year 2011 are as follows:
